Who's Who in the Zoo - Elliot Goodall

Elliot Goodall heads up CLM Texfinity Australia

From pioneering automation in the early 90s to launching CLM Texfinity Australia today, Elliot's career tells the story of relentless innovation, hard work, and long-standing relationships across the laundry industry.

The Early Days

Elliot's introduction to laundry came in 1993 at Parramatta Linen, helping install automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) - decades ahead of their time in Australia. "I built and programmed those AGVs myself...it was my first taste of how automation could transform a laundry," he recalls.

Building Experience

After founding Eziwire Australia in 1997, Elliot teamed up with Scott Hartley and Doug Ryde, of Rydhart Engineering, supporting Southern Cross Laundry Machinery and later joining Rydhart Laundry systems. He became known for installing some of the first Lavatec dryers in Australia, retrofitting controllers, and giving old machines new life. "I must have done 40, maybe 50 LC-102 retrofits across the country," Elliot says. "Back then, it was about proving what technology could do."

Cleantec and Beyond

As head technician at Cleantec Laundry Systems, Elliot travelled nationwide commissioning systems and managing approvals. When Cleantec folded, he relaunched Eziwire as a proprietary company and built a loyal client base that still includes Lawrence Dry Cleaners and Parramatta Linen, where he has supported operations every week for more than 20 years.

Relationships That Last

Long-term partnerships have defined Elliot's career - with Illawarra Linen, Rasko Laundry, Sunshine Linen, and others. Even during Covid, when work dried up, industry colleagues kept him engaged. "That support kept me going. It shows how closeknit this industry really is."

Today: CLM Texfinity Australia

Now Elliot heads up CLM Texfinity Australia, the new local arm of Belgium's Texfinity group. Partnering again with Erwin Vanspauwen in Europe, Elliot is overseeing installations of next-generation feeders, folders, and finishing equipment. "The equipment is solid, but what makes the difference is support," he says. "We've built a trusted team across every state, ready to deliver."

Career Highlights

  • 1993 - First laundry project: AGV installation at Parramatta Line
  • 1997- Founded Eziwire Australia
  • 2000s - Installed first Lavatec dryers in Australia Head Technician - Cleantec Laundry Systems
  • 2006-Present - Relaunched Eziwire Australia (Pty Ltd), longterm service for major Sydney laundries
